The HEPA 600 Home air purifiers and cleaners series come in two basic configurations: standard with traditional electric motors and the PLUS systems featuring G.E. ECM Variable Speed, low energy use motors. These home air purifiers and air cleaners PLUS systems offer TRUE 21st Century digital motor technology that is unavailable in any other whole-house filtration system. The PLUS home air filters systems come in two versions, the PLUS HVAC with pre-programmed G.E. "smart motor" control settings that work in sync with existing heating/cooling systems, and the PLUS VS with finite variable speed control from 1% of volume to 100% of rated volume.

Home Air Filters Performance

Rated as the best whole-house filtration system, the HEPA 600 Home air purifiers and cleaners series utilizes the patented by-pass design to attach to any forced air ducted heating/cooling system up to 5 tons. The HEPA 600HS home air filter unit is attached to the return-air side of the heating/cooling system in a by-pass configuration. The powerful 1/3 HP blow pulls over 600 CFM of air through the prefilter, carbon, and True HEPA filter and handles the pressure resistance across the three air filters so the heating/cooling system fan sees no additional resistance. The by-pass configuration will handle 40% to 60% or more of the air through the heating/cooling system at any time, so the HEPA 600HS home air filter will see all the air coming through your heating/cooling system after the second pass. This allows for up to 48 air changes per 24 hours for most homes. And. . .even in the by-pass configuration, the HEPA 600HS home air purifiers and air cleaners systems have proven to be more efficient in removing respirable size particles than any in-line home_air_filters currently on the market. We always recommend that you keep your standard air filter in place in your heating/cooling system when using the HEPA 600HS unit. An excellent way to further improve the efficiency of your entire system is to use BioPanel furnace air filters in conjunction with your Pure Air unit.

HEPA 600HS Installation and Application Options:

The Hepa Shield systems can be used for numerous applications in the residential, commercial, institutional, and specialty markets. They can be installed in conjunction with any type of forced air ducted heating/cooling system or used in a stand-alone application.

Air Filter Options for the HEPA Shield Systems:

The HEPA Shield systems can use other types of media air filters for applications that don't require a filter as efficient as a HEPA air filter. For example, in the HEPA 1200HS and HEPA 2000HS units we can put any ASHRAE (MERV) box style filter from 45% to 95% in place of the HEPA air filter. This would be for applications where dust loading is high and the particles are larger. Another option is to use carbon and other absorptive medias in-lieu of the HEPA air filter. These Odor Absorptive units can be used for any VOC or gas reduction or removal.
